Yoga website design for teachers and studios: calm, grounded, easy to book

Yoga website design should feel like the first breath of a class: slower, warmer and a little more spacious than the rest of someone's day. Where I differ is that I plan your class and beginner pages around local searches like "yoga for beginners" in your town, because SEO is what I do at Found First. The affordable, grounded site I build has a timetable people understand at a glance and an easy route to booking.

Who you are welcoming

Most people considering yoga are a little nervous. They worry they are not flexible, not fit, not "yoga people".

Your regular students already know how your classes feel. Your website is mostly for the person who has never met you, perhaps never done yoga at all, and is quietly wondering whether they would fit in.

That person needs warmth, not a wall of Sanskrit. They need to know which class is right for a beginner, what to bring and what will actually happen when they walk through the door.

I write yoga websites in a gentle, human voice. Serene, but not vague. Warm, but still clear about times, prices and how to book.

The design follows the same idea: soft, earthy colours, plenty of space and nothing that shouts. The concept above uses warm harvest tones, but a studio by the sea might want pale blues and sand.

The timetable

The most visited page on any yoga site

A confusing timetable costs more students than anything else. This is what I make sure it shows.

  • Day, time and lengthScannable at a glance on a phone, with no pinching or zooming.
  • Class levelBeginner, all levels, intermediate, clearly marked with a short key.
  • Style in plain words"Slow, stretchy and relaxing" alongside "yin", so newcomers understand.
  • TeacherWith a link to their profile for students who follow a particular teacher.
  • WhereStudio room, online, or a village hall across town. Obvious, never assumed.
  • Book in one tapStraight into your booking platform, on the right class.

Pricing that feels fair

Drop-ins, passes and memberships, explained simply

Yoga pricing can get complicated quickly: drop-in rates, five-class passes, monthly unlimited memberships, intro offers, concessions, private sessions and workshops. Presented badly, it looks like a phone tariff.

I organise it around what a student is trying to do. "Just trying it out?" points to the intro offer. "Coming regularly?" explains passes and memberships. "Want one-to-one?" covers privates. Each option gets one clear sentence and one clear price.

If you offer concessions or community classes, I give them a kind, dignified mention. They are often a real part of why people choose a small studio over a gym.

Local search

Found by people searching nearby

New students usually search for things like "beginners yoga Bath", "pregnancy yoga near me" or "yin yoga class tonight". A page for each class type or course gives you a real chance of appearing, especially alongside a complete Google Business Profile with your class types listed.

I add structured data, clear titles and descriptions, and a fast, mobile-first build. Workshops and retreats get their own pages too, because people search for those far in advance. It is the SEO-ready structure I use for every business, tuned for classes and courses.

Teachers and the studio

Teacher profiles

A photo, a paragraph about their approach and training, and the classes they teach. Students often choose a teacher before a class.

The space

Photos of the room, the light, the mats. What to bring, where to park and whether there are showers.

Workshops and retreats

Their own pages, with dates, prices and what is included, so they can be shared and found months ahead.

Questions

Yoga website questions

Independent teacher or busy studio? Tell me about your classes.
Can my timetable update itself?

If you use a booking platform such as Momoyoga, bsport, TeamUp or Mindbody, I can link or embed its live timetable so changes appear automatically. If you run a simple weekly schedule, a clean static timetable that you update a few times a year works well too.

How do I make beginners feel welcome?

A dedicated "new here?" page does more than anything else. Explain what to wear, what to bring, what happens in the first class, and reassure people that nobody expects them to touch their toes. Link to it from the timetable and your home page.

Should I mention my teacher training?

Yes, briefly. Your training hours, lineage or Yoga Alliance or British Wheel of Yoga registration reassure students, but most people care more about your approach and how your classes feel.

Can I sell class passes and workshops through the website?

Through your booking platform, yes. I link passes, memberships, workshops and retreats clearly from the site so people can buy them without hunting.

How much does a yoga website cost?

From £590 for a Starter Website, £1,250 for a Business Website with timetable, class and teacher pages, and £1,750 for Website + Visibility with local SEO. You pay the quoted price.
