From the team behind Found First SEO
SEO website design, built to earn trust and get found
My SEO website design services build the search structure into your site from the first page plan, rather than bolting it on later. I can do that because I run Found First, an SEO consultancy, and I design with the same research I use for SEO clients: each page targets one clear search and answers it fast. You get a beautiful, affordable website that is also built to be found.

What it really means
SEO is not a plugin you install. It is a series of small decisions I make while I plan, write and build the site.
I have worked in SEO for more than twelve years. The most common problem I see is not a lack of clever tactics. It is websites that someone designed first and "optimised" afterwards, with keywords sprinkled over pages that were never planned around a search in the first place.
SEO website design flips that order. I start with what your customers type into Google, decide which of those searches deserve their own page, then design and write each page around one of them.
The result is a site where every page has a clear job, both for the visitor reading it and for the search engine deciding whether to show it.
It is also why the site in the example above has one page for EICRs, one for rewires and one for EV chargers, rather than a single "services" page listing all three. Each page can rank for its own search.
The groundwork
What goes into every page I build
None of this is exotic. It is simply done every time, carefully, which is more than most small business sites can say.
One keyword per page
Each page targets one main search, with the phrase in the address, title, main heading and opening sentence. No page competes with its neighbour.
Answers near the top
The first hundred words answer the searcher's question directly. That helps visitors, and it is exactly what AI answers and featured snippets look for.
Structured data
LocalBusiness, Service and FAQPage schema tell search engines who you are, what you offer and where, in a format machines read without guessing.
Fast, light pages
Static builds with self-hosted fonts and no heavy plugins. Pages load quickly on phones, which matters for rankings and even more for patience.
Sensible internal links
Pages link to related services, prices and examples in a way that helps people and crawlers find their way around.
Local consistency
Your name, address, phone and service area match your Google Business Profile exactly, so Maps and search trust the details.
What I will not do
SEO shortcuts I refuse to take
Some tactics still get sold to small businesses. They either do nothing or cause harm later.
- Hundreds of copy-and-paste town pagesPages that swap one town name for another look spammy to Google and to customers. I only build location pages that have something real to say.
- Keyword stuffingRepeating a phrase until it reads oddly helps nobody. I write for people and place keywords where they belong.
- Hidden text and tricksAnything designed to fool a search engine eventually gets found out. Your business is worth more than a quick spike.
- Ranking guaranteesNobody controls Google. Anyone promising a number one spot is guessing, or planning to target a search nobody makes.

The Found First connection
A web design studio with an SEO consultancy behind it.
Found First Design is the web design side of Found First, my SEO and AI visibility consultancy. The two work well together because I spend my days studying why some pages get found and others do not.
That experience shapes every site I design, whether it is for a plumber, a law firm or a photographer. If you want to understand how design and SEO fit together in more detail, read my page on web design and SEO.
What is SEO website design?
It means designing and building a website so search engines can understand it as easily as people can. That covers the page structure, the words, titles and headings, internal links, speed, mobile layout and structured data. It is the groundwork that everything else in SEO sits on.
Will an SEO-ready website rank on its own?
A well-built site gives you a strong start, especially for local and specific searches. For competitive terms you will usually also need reviews, links from other sites and regular content. I tell you honestly which searches are realistic in your market.
Do you do keyword research for my site?
Yes. Before I plan any pages, I look at what your customers actually search for, how competitive those searches are and which ones are worth a page of their own. That research shapes the whole site.
What about AI search tools like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?
They rely on the same foundations: clear pages about one thing, direct answers near the top, consistent business details and structured data. I write and mark up pages so these tools can read and cite them accurately.
Will I lose my rankings if you rebuild my current site?
Not if I handle the move carefully. I map your existing pages, keep the ones that rank, and redirect old addresses to the right new ones. I cover that process in detail on my web design and SEO page.
Do you offer ongoing SEO after launch?
Through Found First, my SEO consultancy, yes. It is optional. Many small businesses get what they need from a well-built site and a good Google Business Profile.
