Florists and flower studios
Graceful florist website design that makes beautiful work easy to order
Florist website design has to do two things at once: show your flowers as beautifully as your shop window does, and make ordering a bouquet for tomorrow completely effortless. Before I design anything, I check what people in your area search for, from "same-day flowers" to "funeral flowers near me", a habit I bring from my SEO work. Then I build a warm, affordable site with occasion pages, clear delivery cut-offs and a separate, inspiring space for weddings.

How people buy flowers
Most flower orders start with an occasion.
A birthday tomorrow. A friend who has lost someone. An anniversary that crept up. Most customers arrive with a moment in mind and very little time, often on a phone, often a little flustered.
They want to know three things quickly: can you deliver to that address, can it arrive in time, and what can they get for their budget. Everything else is secondary.
That is why I organise florist websites around occasions first and products second. "Birthday", "Sympathy", "Thank you" and "Just because" lead to curated choices at clear prices, with delivery details on every page.
The design itself stays soft and graceful, letting the flowers carry the colour. Your own photographs, taken in good natural light, will always outsell stock imagery.
The essentials
What a florist website needs to get right
Small details make the difference between an abandoned basket and a delivered bouquet.
Occasion pages
Birthdays, sympathy and funerals, anniversaries, new babies. Each one with its own tone, curated choices and helpful card message ideas.
Delivery areas and charges
A simple map or postcode list and clear charges, shown before checkout rather than as a surprise at the end.
Cut-off times
Your same-day cut-off shown near the top of the shop and on every product. Clear, calm and impossible to miss.
Seasonal flowers
A "what's in season" section that changes through the year and gives regular customers a reason to come back.
Subscriptions and corporate
Weekly or monthly flowers for homes, offices and hotels. Steady income that deserves its own page.
Weddings and events
A different conversation, a different space
Wedding clients are planning months ahead and want inspiration, not a basket.
- Real weddingsFull stories with venue names, colour palettes and seasonal flowers. They inspire couples and rank for venue searches.
- Your processConsultation, proposal, final numbers and the big day, explained simply.
- Minimum spends and pricing guidanceHonest ranges help couples plan and save you from mismatched enquiries.
- An enquiry form, not a checkoutDate, venue and a few questions, so you can reply with something personal.
Being found
Found for "flowers delivered today"
Flower searches are urgent and local: "same day flower delivery Canterbury", "funeral flowers near me", "florist open now". Occasion pages with clear titles and descriptions, consistent opening hours and a complete Google Business Profile help you appear when those searches happen.
Every direct order through your own site is one that does not go through a relay network or marketplace. I build the search groundwork in from the first day, so your own website can gradually take a bigger share of your orders.
Peak days
Ready for Valentine's, Mother's Day and Christmas
Plan the peak pages early
Seasonal collections should go live weeks before the day, so search engines find them and customers can pre-order.
Set honest cut-offs
On peak days, earlier cut-offs and delivery windows prevent disappointment. The website should say so clearly.
Collect for next year
A simple sign-up for reminders before key dates brings loyal customers back to you rather than to a marketplace.

Questions
Florist website questions
Can customers order flowers directly through the website?
Yes. For most independent florists, I connect a proven shop system such as Shopify, or the ordering tool you already use, so customers can choose, pay and pick a delivery date. A fully custom online shop is possible but quoted separately.
How do I show delivery areas and cut-off times?
Clearly and early. A simple delivery area map or postcode list, delivery charges, and your same-day cut-off time shown near the top of the shop and on every product. Missed cut-offs cause more complaints than anything else.
Should weddings be separate from the shop?
Yes. Wedding clients want inspiration, your process and a consultation, not an "add to basket" button. A dedicated weddings section with real weddings and an enquiry form works far better.
Can I avoid paying relay network commission?
Orders placed directly through your own website do not go through a relay network, so you keep the full value. Many florists keep relay membership for extra orders while building their own direct sales over time.
What does a florist website cost?
From £590 for a Starter Website, £1,250 for a Business Website with occasion pages and a connected shop, and £1,750 for Website + Visibility with local SEO. A fully custom shop build is quoted individually.
